I just talked to the Oncologist, reviewed treatment options and decided on the protocol and did preliminary scheduling. Now I have to notify those affected by that scheduling.
The details, briefly, are two-day chemo every 4 weeks at SFVA infusion salon [my name for it as it sounds so continentalš] staying at the Hoptel on the Ft. Miley campus.
I wlll be given rituximab [Rituxan] and the usual cocktail at the salon. I will also be on a daily pill, lenalidomide, Revlimid, for 21 days with a 7 day break and then another 21 days until it is no longer needed. I will also be taking acyclovir if needed. I don't think I will be needing it as it is use in treatment of Herpes, shingles and chickenpox. There is a long list of possible side affects for all of these but I have been lucky in the past, so fingers crossed. I am scheduled through February.

I come in here so infrequently and each time I have a difficult time trying to leave a comment. Each time I try, it tells me to logon to Google which I do, but it doesn’t help. I have no idea how I got to this place where it’s letting me leave a comment.
So, you have a plan now which is better than not having one. Is this treatment similar to your previous treatment? I read the plan but I don’t remember it well and I’m afraid to go look for it and never find my way here again.
The photo of your two sidekicks is delightful. I’m sure they bring you joy in the midst of this terrorist attack on your body. I’ll be sending you good vibes and other good things to help you through this. As my friend from South Africa told me, “Keep your pecker up” because he didn’t know what a pecker was.
